Because I can't post a new thread, I'll just post it here.
In History, we're learning about the theory of evolution. This is the story of how the modern day human evolved from an ape. How can this be when we are learning in class that when Hashem created the world he created man as he is today?
So, my theory is that evolution is completely false. I have no way to prove this, but I know that we can only find what Hashem wants us to find. If He didn't want us to find the ancient underdeveloped skeletons, we wouldn't have.
I think that this teaches us all a lesson. Hashem wants so badly to show us that we have free will. This is one of the hardest concepts to grasp, so He uses concepts we understand to show us that yes, we do have free will.
Have you ever thought about why Hashem allows us to create different theories about religion and creation? I think this is so we will realize we do have a choice in the matter, and in doing so will come to Him.
I don't know why it's a weird color. I tried to fix it, but I couldn't.
ReplyDeleteI think that evolution might not be completely false, but like we said in class earlier in the week, it could be based off what actually happened. We said that We can sort of see how evolution might fit with our story. The light was split from the darkness, land emerged with plants, lumiaries appeared, water creatures were there and then land creatures appeared, then man came about. Doesn't it sound like evolution? According to evolution, first we were fish and then apes and then we became humans. Even the days vs. eons issue can be addressed. Days to HaShem at that time could have been eons to is now. Therefore, I think that while evolution is not how the world came to be, it makes sense that some people would think that.
ReplyDeleteI don't think what the Torah says is so false, but I do think that the people who think man evolved from an ape are a little false. If man evolved from and ape than how would we know? For us to have record of what or how we evolved from we would need to have been there. Its possible and it is true that humans and apes are very similar but I do not think that we evolved from them.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we copied some of their actions or maybe the other way around. I just don't think that it is possible for humans to evolve from an animal. On this one I am going to have to trust the Torah.
